70Materia at Milan Design Week 2025
Charting new pathways for material exploration
A week within the design capital, three distinct locations, encompassing a multitude of explorations by 70Materia. During Milan Design Week 2025, the kitchen-dining area of Capsule Plaza showcased a striking monolithic block in Progetto Basalto Levigato, which played host to Lhov by Elica, a state-of-the-art brand of cooking appliances, and was surrounded by Satellite modules, the innovative kitchen system conceived by architect Enricomaria Todaro. Within the same captivating installation, the Orbita research project charted exciting new trajectories for Satellite, pushing the styling and functional boundaries of the material through a partnership with three design studios. CARA \ DAVIDE conceived the SG Rover Table, a table on wheels in Supergiunto, a surface that seamlessly blends structural integrity with decorative appeal. Finemateria envisioned Odissea Spaziale, a series of travelling totem-modules crafted in Metamorfosi, a faded finish that beautifully highlights the artisanal quality of the sanding. GROOVIDO presented Tier, a storage module featuring integrated drawers and display shelves, fashioned from the unprecedented Gemme mix.

At Viabizzuno, the 70Materia surfaces seamlessly merged with high-end architectural lighting: the wall panelling of the cisei sistema by marionanni, clad in Nebbia colour with Anticato finish, and the kitchen counter tops of the traccia sistema, in Torba colour with a Levigato finish, suggested a compelling new dialogue between light and material.
Meanwhile, at Alcova, in partnership with Terraformæ, Fragma was unveiled: a unique mix born from the natural blend of 70Materia®’s patented mixture and terracotta fragments sourced from the historic S. Anselmo kiln, presented as surfaces and bricks in a variety of colours and finishes.
