Exforo is a high-end catering space located in the former Foro Boario in Padua, one of the city’s most iconic locations. The architects of AACM, Atelier Architettura Chinello Morandi, have chosen the surfaces of 70Materia to cover all the spaces and grant an elegant rigour to the facility: “70Materia elevates tradition to contemporary research. Our design process is similar: we reinterpret typological and archetypal features in order to innovate the architectural concept, while remaining rooted in the spirit of a location.” In the Exforo restaurant, every architectural and furnishing element is made using 70Materia surfaces. As the architects explain, “For us, 70Materia is like a ‘toy’, a versatile material that we like to use not just for the flooring, but transforming it into volume, sculpture, cladding—furnishings of all kinds’.

Floors, walls and counters are all made using the Colore surface in the Levigato finish, for optimal visual continuity.
The planters and benches – including the one inset into the wall, with a vertical panel acting as a backrest – are also made using the Colore surface in the Levigato finish.
