The 70Materia Corner
A New Format for Interior Design Showrooms

An environment dedicated to the world of 70Materia: a clearly recognisable space that reflects the company’s research-driven attitude, while strengthening the imagery associated with its materials and showcasing their versatility. This is the ambition of the new format designed by 70Materia — one that brings together research and design through a narrative rooted in the local territory. Previewed at Cariolato, the historic Vicenza-based furniture and interior architecture showroom, the corner draws direct inspiration from its surroundings and is built using locally sourced materials.

Designed by Enricomaria Todaro, it presents both research projects and the brand’s iconic products, in dialogue with the wider showroom environment. The defining feature of the space is the Super Giunto surface, designed by CARA \ DAVIDE and used here for the first time as a surface cladding. Originally developed as the top for the mobile SG Rover Table, presented at Milan Design Week 2025, Super Giunto combines a fibreglass grid with 70Materia® in its Progetto version, made with Pietra di Vicenza as a tribute to the local territory. Perfectly aligned with the platform, the same grid reappears overhead: emptied of its material and lightened, it accommodates Viabizzuno lighting, becoming a striking luminous frame.

The corner showcases some of the company’s most representative explorations into material. The Atollo Circolare table by Enricomaria Todaro interacts with the dining-themed displays, while the Fondamenta washbasins — in the Quadra and Cilindro variants, also by Todaro — connect with the bathroom furnishing universe. Two Odissea Spaziale modules, designed by Finemateria, bisect the corner: on one side, they are fitted with shelves and a mirror, creating the ideal backdrop for the Quadra washbasin. The surfaces of Odissea Spaziale feature the Metamorfosi finish — a Pietra di Vicenza base, enriched with Verde Alpi inert matter, which, through varying degrees of manual polishing, develops a soft, gradated effect.

Designed to convey the breadth of the company’s design vision, the installation introduces a replicable exhibition format in which surfaces and volumes come together to form a seamless material narrative.
